WHY THIS SPACE EXISTS

In water, climate, and sustainability, communication is so often treated as an afterthought. Reports are written, data is shared, policies are drafted. But the human story behind it all is left untold. That’s the story that makes people actually care.

For those of us who work in communication, this is a missed opportunity that feels personal. Too often, communicators sit alone in rooms full of scientists, engineers, and policymakers, wishing there was a space to connect with others who “get it.” Unlike researchers or practitioners, communicators rarely have a community of their own.

WHAT TRIGGERED THE COLLECTIVE

That absence. That silence. That is what gave birth to the Water Storytellers Collective. It started with a simple realization: if there isn’t a space for communicators and storytellers to learn from each other, to swap stories and strategies, and to feel less isolated, then it needs to be created.

This Collective is that missing home. A place where storytellers and communicators in the water and sustainability space can:

• Share blogs, videos, campaigns, and creative experiments.

• Learn from each other’s experiences, the wins and the struggles.
